The Advantest R3272 Spectrum Analyzer is the first spectrum analyzer in its price/performance range to utilize direct digital synthesis (DDS), which ensures the highest level of spectrum accuracy throughout the measurement range. The R3272 has two PCMCIA interfaces that accept IC memory cards for storage of measurement data, and allow instrument firmware and measurement routines to be easily updated. In addition to the PCMCIA interfaces, a broad array of application-specific measurement routines are stored in ROM, which eliminates the need to upload application programs from exteal mass storage devices. The R3272 can be operated by remote control via GPIB and parallel and serial ports ensure communication with peripheral devices as well as with other instruments and controllers.
